We have developed a sophisticated fund screening process which focuses not only on fund returns, but critically, on how consistent the returns have been over a range of periods and what level of risk has been taken to achieve these returns. This statistical analysis is further reinforced with regular interviews and dialogue with fund managers and provides an essential qualitative aspect.

Rigorous monthly fund reviews

Funds are reviewed rigorously on a monthly basis to ensure that we continue to select the best available managers for our clients.

The most challenging aspect is not replacing poorly performing funds, but actually replacing good fund managers with others that we think will do even better to optimise returns and this skill-set can add significant value for our investors.

To complement the manager selection process, we also have a monthly Investment Committee meeting, where we review financial markets as a whole, the interaction with different asset classes and focus on specific fund sectors and individual fund returns.
